Thankyou John Cadbury

I am saying thankyou to John Cadbury for creating Cadburys chocolate in 1824. I came up with the conclusion that a website would be the aproprate way to say thank you without making it an advertising campaine.

4 Designers

From a previous project we transcribed an interview from type radio of a designer we got given. We got in a group and published a book for the interviews the designers that are in it are- Ellen Lupton, Anette Lenz Bruce Connew Maeieke Stolk and Danny Van Den Duncen.

We kept the front cover very simple and to the point- Less is more.

Emma's Perfume Brand

Me in a bottle!
This represents me, it shows you what my favorite things are from smell to sound. I like the smell of spices coffee and coca nut. It shows you what sort of typography I like and what I enjoy doing.

This mind map shows you what colors I represent myself with, and what smells I want my perfume to be.

This is showing you where my perfume will be, what sort of person will be wearing it. On a night out what would they be drinking or eating. It shows you where it will be advertised and what makeup it would be.

I would put my perfume in this category, this is the competition!
These are the shapes and designs I think are appropriate for my brand.

I came up with some logos....
This is the one I chose I put my name at the bottom so it made more sense.

Keeping with my color code I designed the perfume bottles.
Finally to go with my perfume and logo I came up with a series of business cards.

Places

I was trying to express a place through printing. I went to New York and I found it was a very busy place with loads of things going on. I used these colors to make it seem vibrant and exciting.

Live Brief- Creating Signage

Castle point shopping center is very hard for blind people to get around. We worked in a group to come to a solution how to make it more accessible for the blind and partially blind. We needed to come up with a signage system that would suit the disability, using braille, voice recognition, using the right color and size.
- Castle Point has 11,000 mobility costumers.
- Only 12% of blind people can read braille.
- Nearly 2 million people are blind in the UK.
- Every 15 minutes a person begins to lose there sight.

We took into account what sort of things there are for blind people and what type faces to avoid. Do not use italics and underlining of text, avoid punctuation because it is difficult to read and may become confusing. We also looked at what would be good for blind and partially blind people we came up with an audio system, infra-red system that bluetooth your phone telling you where the shop is. Using textures and clear colors, embossed shapes and braille.

We came up with splitting the shops into categories and combining it with an icon.

-Entertainment

-Electrical

-Clothing

-Food and drink

-Supermarket

-Home ware

On each of these signs there will be braille at the bottom and when you touch it will say what shop your next to and it lights up.

This is my finished animation.

In this animation there is a lot of words in grey and not black they do not stand out very well. It is not completely finished I need to look at the timing and put in the ending.

MUSIC

I want to use happy music in the animation and I think this one works really well.

Animation 5

Animation 4

This animation needs a lot of editing, at the beginning the word happiest needs to flow with the flag at the moment it is too stiff and jumpy. "Happiest place to live is too fast and you can not read it very well. "A MILLION" going down the line needs to flow smoother. When I zoom into the people there is a gap at the bottom i need to change that. Also some words go off the screen, I need to edit everything really to make it fit and and flow in time.

Animation 3 is the new updated version, all the things I wanted to edit are edited.

Animation 3

I have done a lot more work to the animation, I need go through it and look at the motion tween's and the timing, I have put an image into it which makes it more interesting to look at instead of a blank background.

Previous Animation

This is one of the animation I produced at he start, I think I have improved the animation since this one.

Animation 2

In this animation I decided I wanted to change the beginning, I want the writing in the middle of the page. I have added some more text to it, but as you can see it needs working on. The writing is more central "place to live in the UK" it takes up the page instead of in the corner.
